DEFINATION
DOOR: a door is an openable barrier in a wall for the purpose of providing access to the users of the structure.Size of a door should be as per requirement.
Framed and panelled door
This door consists framework in which panelles are fitted.These doors reduces the tendency of shrinkage.
Single leaf for small opening and double leafed shutters for large opening.
Panell-added for beauty purpose, Decent in appearance.

Glazed or sash door
In these doors glasses are provided to admit light.These may be fully glazed or partially glazed.
Used in offices (HOD’s Cabin), ICU (hospitals) door etc.
TERMINOLOGY
•Toprail :- this is topmost horizontal member of the sutter.•Lockrail :- it is middle horizontal member of the sutter, where locking arrangement is provided.
•Bottom rail :- lowermost horizontal member of the shutter.
•Style :- this is the outside vertical member of the sutter of a door or a window.
•Panel :- this is area of shutter enclosed between the adjacent rail.
Horn :- a horizontal projection of head or sill beyond the face of the frame.
•Jamb :- the vertical wall face which supports the frame of door / window.
•Shutter :- the entire assembly of styles, panels and rails.
•Holdfast :- this is a mild steel flat bar which keeps the frame in position
